A Writ is a period-style notification typically used to bestow privilege or issue an instruction. In this case, the Crown has bestowed the title of Lord or Lady upon you, and has given you the option to register a suitable name and arms with the College of Heralds.

With this award it is the tradition of the Kingdom of Lochac to gift a hand-made scroll with illuminated Arms and official wax seals. The requirements are that you have a registered Name and Device through the College of Heralds. This scroll is a gift and thus will take many months before it is finished (and the work is not started until both your SCA Name and Device are registered).

To start the process of registering your name and device it is suggested that you talk to your local Herald. There are many rules and restrictions associated with suitable names and arms in the SCA, and it is a good idea to speak to an experienced herald.

• you do NOT wish for this scroll to be created for you
• you have preferences about the design
• or you wish to have some input

Donations help fund essential Kingdom activities so that volunteers don’t end up carrying their costs. They also eliminate the volunteer workload associated with a rigid user-pays system, and help keep our services free of fees. Even a modest contribution makes a big difference, so please take a moment to help us out with a donation if you can:
